Invisible mapping, missing textures: the solutions
Mapping that does not appear, black or mixed-up textures, falling through the floor: the most common causes and how to fix them.
In the vast majority of cases, a display problem comes from one of these four points. Check them in order.
1. The game build
Our mappings require at least build 3095. Without it, objects are missing, textures are absent or the building is invisible. In server.cfg:
set sv_enforceGameBuild 30952. The Cfx.re license
Products are protected by Cfx.re escrow. The server license key (sv_licenseKey) must belong to the same Cfx.re account that received the asset. Otherwise, the console shows an error when the resource starts and nothing loads. If you bought with another account, open a "Asset transfer" ticket.
3. The cache
After an update or a texture change, FiveM may keep the old version in memory. Close FiveM, empty FiveM.app/data/cache, also empty the server-cache folder of the server, then relaunch. Your players may sometimes need to do the same.
4. Conflicts with another mapping
Two mappings in the same place cause duplicate objects, flickering floors or invisible walls. Temporarily disable the other maps in the area to check.
Other cases
- Textures change or get mixed up (products delivered in several versions, such as the Pack Autoroute or the Préfecture): keep only one [YTD_…] folder, see the product guide.
- You fall through the floor: a collision folder was deleted by mistake. Reinstall the complete folder from the Cfx.re portal (Granted Assets).
- It worked and no longer works: check that a FiveM or another mapping update has not changed the build or the zone.
